SILVER JEWELLERY CARE

Caring and cleaning your silver jewellery is simple to do if you follow some basic instuctions.

What causes your jewellery to tarnish:

Fine silver and sterling silver, like other precious metal alloys, can oxidise over time. It can tarnish, blacken or discolour over time, particularly if the piece is worn regularly.

* Moisture is a crucial part of the chemical reaction that causes tarnish, so limit your jewellery's exposure to moisture by removing before washing, sleeping, exercising or swimming.

* Exposure to perfume, soap, moisturiser, shampoo etc. and cleaning products such as dishwashing liquid and bleach.

Care:

To clean your silver jewellery simply rub over a silver polishing cloth, this should bring back a beautiful shine and keep the tarnish at bay.

Always give your jewellery a gentle wipe with a polishing cloth after wearing.

As our jewellery has been lightly antiqued to enhance the detail in the prints, we do not recommend using liquid dip cleaning solutions as it can be harsh and remove the finer detail.

Even though we do solder our joins, to prevent loss, we would advise that from time to time that you check links and catches for signs of wear and tear. If you are unlucky enough to lose your charm, we cannot be held responsible.
